Mike Strunk grew up on
a small farm where he helped his dad work the land with a mule, a horse
and a homemade tractor. It was this childhood that instilled in Mike a
love for the land and its people.
Upon obtaining a degree
from Purdue University's School of Agriculture, he enjoyed a long career
as an open space planner with the National Park Service and several
consulting firms.
A longtime resident
of Evergreen, Colorado, and award-winning photographer, Mike has
photographed open lands, ranches and historic sites throughout the West
for over 40 years. During this time, he has amassed more than
90,000 images in his personal archives.
Mike owns Sagebrush
Photography, Inc., works part-time for the Mountain Area Land Trust to
protect open lands and is on the board of directors of the Jefferson County
Historical Society. |
